Why Donate Baseball Cards
Many collectors have boxes of extra cards sitting in closets or storage bins. At the same time, many kids have never had the chance to start their own collection.
The For the Love of the Game Foundation connects those two worlds by turning donated cards into small sets that we distribute to kids at baseball games and community events.
For many kids, these cards become their first introduction to the hobby and the history of the game.
How the Program Works
Step 1 — Donate Your Cards
Send your extra baseball cards to our foundation.
Step 2 — We Sort,
Our volunteers organize the cards into fun starter collections.
Step 3 — Kids Receive the Cards
We distribute them to young fans at baseball games and community events.
What Cards Can Be Donated
Great donations include:
- Extra cards from modern sets
- Base cards from collections
- Duplicate cards
- Commons and inserts
- Bulk collections
Please avoid:
- Severely damaged cards
- Non-sports cards
- Cards with mold or water damage
Vintage cards or valuable cards are welcome, but not necessary. Many kids are just excited to receive players they recognize.

Yes! Bulk donations are welcome.

Not yet, but we are planning on registered as a 501(c)(3) very soon.
